The country's maritime industry has recorded another significant milestone with the launch of the "Hull 211" Shipbuilding, the first “Made-in-Brunei" vessel. The launching ceremony took place at the Anson International shipyard in Pulau Muara Besar, 27th April afternoon.

The launch was officiated by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doktor Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Finance and Yang Berhormat Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Shamhary bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Mustapha, Minister of Transport and Infocommunications. It coincided with contract signing between Anson International Sdn Bhd and Fast Offshore Supply Private Limited Company, marking the official commencement of the project collaboration. The shipbuilding capable of carrying 80 passengers, represents a significant step forward in the nation's journey towards industrial capability, innovation and maritime excellence.
